About Lumedic Connect

Lumedic Connect is a mobile app you can use to securely store and privately share your medical information, starting with your digital COVID-19 vaccine record.

Lumedic Connect is currently in pilot with Providence. Anyone 18 years of age or older and a patient of Providence or one of its partner health systems can use Lumedic Connect. To learn when Lumedic Connect is available in your area, sign up.

Lumedic Connect keeps your COVID-19 vaccine records secure on your smartphone where only you can retrieve them. Since your digital record is on your smartphone, you will have it whenever you need to share it.

Your digital record is always with you if a business or medical facility using Lumedic Connect requests to verify your vaccination status. If you choose, you can share your information by scanning a QR code.

No. Lumedic Connect is free for patients.

No. You need a smartphone to use the Lumedic Connect app. If you don’t own a smartphone, use the vaccine card you received at the time of your vaccination.

Getting Started

To set up Lumedic Connect on your smartphone, follow these steps:

  1. Register your details online at covid.lumedic.io by completing the Patient Validation form. For security purposes, the information you provide must match the information Providence has in its records.
  2. Once Lumedic Connect matches you to your Providence health record, the app searches for your vaccine record. You will receive a text message when your digital vaccine record is ready. The text will include a link to download the app in case you have not done so already.
  3. Download and set up the Lumedic Connect app to receive your vaccine record(s).

Lumedic Connect will look for your vaccine record. It may take some time for your caregiver to update your record. You will receive a text message to the mobile number you provided in the Patient Validation form when your digital COVID-19 vaccine record is ready.

No. You need to complete the Patient Validation form at covid.lumedic.io. When your record is ready, Lumedic Connect will send you a text message on your smartphone with a link to download the app.

Yes. You will receive a digital record for each dose of the COVID-19 vaccination that is administered to you.

Technical Support

Your personal information entered into the Patient Validation form must match the information in Providence’s records. Follow the steps below if you need to update your personal information or if Lumedic Connect cannot match your records.

  • Option 1: If you have access to MyChart, you can log in to your account to review and update your personal information before completing the Patient Validation form. It can take up to 24 hours for MyChart to update your caregiver’s records.
  • Option 2: If you don’t have access to MyChart, you can contact Providence’s Patient Engagement Center at 1.844.972.1305 to update your information. You can complete the Patient Validation form after your Providence record is updated.

Lumedic Connect currently supports Providence and its partner health systems. If you are not a patient of Providence or one of its health partners, we are unable to connect you to your vaccine record. We are expanding our reach. Check back to see if your health system is supported.

Lumedic Connect pulls your data as it was entered into your vaccine record by the provider who administered your vaccination. To maintain the integrity of your record, the Lumedic Connect app doesn’t let you edit the vaccination information it receives.

Lumedic Connect supports iPhones upgraded to iOS version 12.2 or higher. Here’s how to find your iPhone’s iOS version.

For smartphones using the Android operating system, Lumedic Connect supports versions 6.0 - 11.0. How to check and update your Android version.

Lumedic Connect stores your health data directly to your smartphone. You will need to re-register at covid.lumedic.io to store your vaccine records on your new phone.

If you change your mobile number after successfully registering to receive your digital COVID-19 vaccine record, you will need to re-register at covid.lumedic.io with your new mobile number.

Right now, Lumedic Connect stores no information to use for automated passcode recovery. If you can’t recall your passcode and have guessed every 6-digit number you might’ve used, you’ll need to install the app again. Follow the steps from your phone’s operating system:

MyChart is a patient portal healthcare systems use that allows patients to view portions of their medical records.

Lumedic Connect is a mobile app you can use to securely store and privately share your medical information, starting with your COVID-19 vaccinations, on your smartphone.

The Apple Wallet allows users to store coupons, boarding passes, student ID cards, event tickets, and payments for a variety of services.

Lumedic Connect is a mobile app you can use to securely store and privately share your medical information, starting with your COVID-19 vaccinations, on your smartphone.

Unlike other apps, Lumedic Connect doesn’t have user accounts, so there’s no need to explicitly log out. Once you close the app, you’re automatically logged out. The next time you open Lumedic Connect, you’ll need to enter your passcode or use your fingerprint or facial recognition to view your records.

Privacy and Security

Yes. Built by healthcare, Lumedic Connect preserves your privacy using all the same security measures proven effective today: biometrics (fingerprints, facial recognition), passwords, and encryption. Your data is on your phone. Lumedic Connect does not store your personal health information. Only you can retrieve it and decide who can see it.

You decide who sees your vaccination status. Every request for your status goes through you for confirmation before Lumedic Connect shares it for you.

Lumedic does not store your personal health information. Lumedic uses it only to match your health record, which lets Lumedic Connect retrieve your vaccine record and store it securely on your smartphone.
